Dr. Bobo Blankson
A graduate of Harvard College and the Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Kwabena “Bobo” Blankson is a world-renown doctor, speaker, and author on the subject of Positive Medicine. Blankson trained as a pediatrician specialized in Adolescent Medicine while serving 13 years in the military. Upon separating from the military, Blankson joined Girls to Women Health & Wellness/Young Men’s Health & Wellness as a partner in Dallas, where he regularly works with teens and their families on building a positive digital culture in the home. Doctor Bobo has been featured in The New York Times, TIME, CNN, Forbes, CBS News, and in Oprah’s Happiness OCourse. He is the co-founder of Gamer Wellness and serves on the board of The Athlete Foundry.
Steven Crane
Steven Michael Crane is a Research Scholar with the Boundaries of Humanity Project and Behavior Design Lab at Stanford University. He received his BA in Human Biology from Stanford University in 2012 and an MS in Community Health and Prevention Research from Stanford Medicine in 2019. As a speaker, teacher, and writer, he covers topics ranging from biology and psychology to behavior design, human nature, and the future of biotechnology. As a consultant and interdisciplinary research scholar, he studies human behavior (especially screen time), biotechnological ethics, social connectedness, public health, and human flourishing.
Dr. Shaunelle Curry
Shaunelle Curry is the Founder and CEO of Media Done Responsibly, a media and digital literacy organization that amplifies humanity-centered and socially responsible media. Curry is a Professor of TV, Film, and Media Studies, Journalism, and Pan-African Studies at California State University, Los Angeles. She is the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the Digital Wellness Collective. Curry is an author and playwright, and she is also a founding member of the Black Women Leaders of Los Angeles Coalition. Through her work with Media Done Responsibly, Curry trains over 300 college mentors annually to lead workshops in media literacy for middle and high school students.
Dr. Marco Hafner
Marco Hafner is the Principal Health Economist at HEOR and the Senior Economist at RAND Europe where he provides expert economic and statistical analysis on projects for public and private clients. Marco holds a PhD in Economics and Applied Econometrics from Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg, an MPhil in Economics from UCL, and a BA and MSc in Economics, both from the University of Zurich. He previously worked for the Institute for Employment Research in Germany, before joining RAND as a Senior Analyst in 2013. He has worked on policy projects for a variety of clients including the Department for Work and Pensions, the World Bank, and the European Parliament.
Dr. Carl Marci
Carl Marci is a physician, scientist, entrepreneur, and author of the book, Rewired: Protecting Your Brain in the Digital Age. He is currently the Chief Psychiatrist and Managing Director of Mental Health and Neuroscience at OM1, a health technology and data company based in Boston, MA. He is a board-certified psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital and part-time Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Marci received his B.A. with honors from Columbia University, his M.A. from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, and his M.D. with honors from Harvard Medical School. He completed two NIH fellowships in neuroscience and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed science journals, holds seven patents, gives lectures nationally and internationally.
Dr. Gloria Mark
Gloria Mark is Chancellor’s Professor of Informatics at the University of California, Irvine. She received her PhD from Columbia University in psychology and studies the impact of digital media on people’s lives. She takes a deep dive in examining multitasking, interruptions, and mood with the use of digital devices. She has published over 200 articles, and in 2017 was inducted into the ACM SIGCHI Academy which recognizes leaders in the field of human-computer interaction. She has presented her work at SXSW and the Aspen Ideas Festival, and her research has appeared in the popular media, e.g. New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NPR, The Atlantic, the BBC, and many others.
Dr. Adrian Meier
Adrian Meier is Assistant Professor for Communication Science at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany. In 2020, he received his Dr. phil. in communication science at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, investigating whether and how social media make us (un)happy. His research examines the psychological effects of media technologies on mental health and well-being, with a focus on inter- and masspersonal communication, social comparison, and self-regulation. Currently, Adrian’s research examines
the role of social media for well-being at the interface between work and home life, for example, in remote work contexts. His research has been recognized with multiple academic awards and is published in leading journals of communication and media psychology.

Dr. Omneya Omar
A Well-being Facilitator and Consultant, Dr. Omneya Omar has more than 15 years of experience across UAE, Egypt, Kuwait, and KSA. Taught and facilitated PosEd. and Character Education courses. Holds Ph.D. in Educational Research, Lancaster University, UK. A Certified Happiness Life Coach, passionate about supporting and enhancing societal well-being. My research focused on Happiness Science and Wellbeing discipline across Business and Educational sector. Influential public speaker with solid expertise in leading and designing workshops and training programs. Been privileged to watch the early birth of The UAE Happiness and Wellbeing National Program back in 2016. Lead one school in my role as Positive Education Director: facilitating trainings for teachers and parents in positive psychology for happier society. Spoke for the KHDA series “What Works Happiness”. My doctoral research focused on the Policy implementation framework of the National Program of Happiness and Wellbeing across top rated Higher Education institutions in UAE.
Dr. Lena Song
Lena Song is an Assistant Professor of Economics at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She studies media and information technologies, with a focus on their relationship to diversity and inequality. Much of her work involves original data collection including archival research or field experiments. She received her MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford and her PhD in economics from New York University.
Dr. Amanda Third
Associate Professor Amanda Third the is Principal Research Fellow in the Digital Social and Cultural Research in the Institute for Culture and Society at the University of Western Sydney, Australia. Amanda’s research focuses on the socio-cultural dimensions of young people’s technology use, with particular emphases on the intergenerational dynamics shaping technology practice, and vulnerable young people’s technological engagements. Since 2010, Amanda has led Research Program 2: "Connected and Creative", of the Young and Well Cooperative Research Centre, which unites young people with researchers, practitioners, innovators and policy-makers from over 75 partner organizations to explore the role of technology in young people’s lives, and how technology can be used to improve the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 12 to 25.
